The Philippines have been hit by four tropical storms in just 2 weeks. I am doing a report on trying to sell a product in the global market. I have chosen the Philippines as my country but now I need a product that suits the basic need potential. Is there anything that could help those being hit by the major tropical storms?

how about affordable survival kits? it should contain an inflatable life vest, plastic containers for medicine and other small necessities, and a water bottle. it should be affordable, meaning the poor should be able to buy it in public markets.

if you’re really onto the survival stuff, then…

    instant noodles
    canned foods
    and all that stuff

    otherwise…

electricity distribution. MERALCO needs some bad competition to break that crap monopoly of theirs

rooftop solar electric kits with energy efficient led lights fans. rooftop solar hot water kits using parabolic mirrors. solar cooking kits with parablolic mirrors. small sized septic/waste systems with methane digestors to create cooking gas while processing wastewater.

these items will create energy independance at the household or village level, with less reliance on large power plants.
